Sunday morning cartoons were always one of the things I looked forward to as a child. My mom kept forcing me to watch the Educational toons but my brother and I always managed to switch the channel to something a bit more meaningful as soon as she turned her back.
These are some of the most ridiculous cartoons the I have personally seen yet love to watch time and time again. Remember kids, just because they are ridiculous doesn’t mean they suck. This really makes them some of the most brilliant shows ever created.
7. The Smurfs
First of all, tiny blue people that look to be in a place you might go upon death are a little creepy. Secondly they all keep fighting over one girl Smurf because for some reason the writers thought it would be better that way. Maybe they could do a Smurf Bukkake film in Japan and then it would not be so weird, at least porn is normal. How come they only have one old Smurf in the entire show? I think he represents the elder of the tribe and all must bend to his will no matter what.
The whole thing with a warlock trying to murder all the innocent Blue guys seems a bit ridiculous to me. I understand why the cat has some beef with them as he just needs a good diet, but this loony man has no reason to terrorize the little dudes. Leave the Smurfs alone!
After all this craziness I finally can ask the question, why are Smurfs blue anyways? The answer might have been found. Good luck in figuring this out. Regardless of how much this show doesn’t make sense, I found myself watching it every chance I could get.
6. Captain Planet
With our powers combined, we can summon a champion with a uuhhhhh… wait one minute here, is that a mullet?
Apparently to save the planet and make people actually care all it takes is a simple cartoon with a few thugs. This could work except they made one of the villains look like a rat, another was named after a very popular game, and the worst one had the last name Plunder.
I am sure Captain Planet himself would be taken seriously if he looked a bit more like John McClain in the Die Hard films and Gaia was Angelina Jolie. That might instill some fear into people and make them pay attention all in one blow. If the Captain really wants to rid the world of pollution he should kill all the humans and stop chasing a small group of semi-retarded criminals.
Regardless of the ridiculous plot and characters, this makes it in at number seven due to Captain Planet’s awesome blue mullet, and because it was my favorite next to Scooby Doo! for those who still love this show you can go to the Captain Planet site and read a special letter directly from the man himself.
5. Spongebob Squarepants

Oh Spongebob, where do I begin? How about the fact that you are a dancing sponge with the IQ of a one year old singing and dancing in the middle of the ocean. If I let small children watch this I am pretty sure they would drop out of high school, join the circus, and possibly jump off a cliff by the age of 25.
I am personally proud to say that I have never seen a full episode of this and I never will. I put this at number five only because it somehow got popular among the 1-10 demographic, and it made my list because it is one seriously ridiculous show you can only enjoy when drunk. What are those parents thinking?
4. Ren and Stimpy
It’s really hard to find something to bash on this amazingly brilliant mess of ridiculousness. This show was one of my favorites as a child. It could me the massive amounts of farts to laugh over or the crazy things that happend to them everyday. It’s really hard to top some of the weirdness of Ren and Stimpy with all the discusting things they to to each other and those around.
this show could also be one of the biggest shows ever that make you way WTF?
3. Pinky and the Brain
So we start with a short brainy rat and top it of with a skinny rat that has the actual smarts of an actual, uh…rat. Way to go! Whoever thought of this probably woke up from a weird dream or this was a gift given to them by a higher power. I got it! They did way to many drugs as a teen and this was the only way their messed up plots as a youth could be somewhat in real life. Sheer genius.
From the first episode I was hooked. I started my day with this and watched reruns after a long hard day of being picked on at the playground and running from the cooties all the girls carried. Oops that was off topic. Troubled childhood aside, this was one that I widsh could be brought back. At least it has some science for the little one to soak up unlike and stinky yellow knowledge killing sponge.
2. South Park
I am more than certain that you will possibly go to hell for even watching on second of South Park. Quick to make fun of every religion known to man and more importantly blaming Canada for everything that goes wrong, this one comes in at a close second. I think the most ridiculous part of the series is when a Gay Satan and Saddam (who obviously is gay due to the fact that he makes women cover all their sexiness) become lovers. If you have a more ridiculous moment in South Park please let me know.
Cartman’s songs are always top notch and you can always rely on the writers to create more hilarious ways for Kenny to die in almost every episode. Sometimes when I see an episode and he lives I am somehow a bit disappointed. What can I say…everybody like to laugh at people in agony, as long as it’s on YouTube. If you do it in the real world you are somehow labeled a psycho and they might threaten to send you to a shrink.
1. Family Guy
There is really only one word to describe Family Guy, absolutely BRILLIANT. Seth McFarlane is truly a pioneer of our time when it comes to realizing that everyone in this world is extremely A.D.D. and we want a quick laugh and then need to move on. I am finding it hard to find anything negative to say about this one. Maybe you could help me out?
Wait a sec… WTF was he thinking when Quagmire was written? He has to be the most ridiculous character in the show and yet somehow he is one of my favorites below Stewie. I think it could be his laugh or the endless need to get laid by whatever moves.
I would personally like to that FOX for not jerking around the second time they aired Family Guy and keeping this show on.
