Sonic Boom

No this isn’t about the sonic boom that Guile from Street Fighter throws at you if you hold back for three seconds and the press forward and the jab button. This video is a little bit long but it’s one of the coolest sonic booms I have ever seen.

For those of you who don’t know what a sonic boom is i’ll explain with some help from Wikipedia. When an object passes through the air, it creates a series of pressure waves in front of it and behind it, similar to the bow and stern wavescreated by a boat. These waves travel at the speed of sound, and as the speed of the object increases, the waves are forced together, or compressed, because they cannot “get out of the way” of each other, eventually merging into a single shock wave at the speed of sound.
